Official Age Limits & Regulations (2025-2026)

The eligibility rules in this calculator are based on the latest official notifications released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC). Remember that cutoff dates for age calculation usually rely on August 1st (for UPSC) or July 1st (for TNPSC) of the examination year.

For candidates belonging to reserved categories (BC, MBC, SC, ST), both the upper age limit and the total number of attempts are significantly relaxed. In TNPSC Group 2 and Group 4, candidates with higher educational qualifications (a Degree) belonging to reserved categories effectively have No Maximum Age Limit (up to the retirement age of 60).
