Assam Public Service Commission (APSC): The APSC, established in 1937, is responsible for conducting civil service examinations and recruiting candidates for various administrative roles in Assam. The commission is headquartered in Guwahati. Positions offered through APSC include Deputy Collector, DSP, and other administrative roles, with salaries ranging from Rs 56,100 to Rs 1, 77,500. There is no limit on the number of attempts but the age restriction is there i.e., 21 years is the minimum age to apply. The syllabus covers a wide range of topics, including Assam’s history, culture, geography, and current affairs, with a focus on the state’s challenges in flood management, ethnic diversity, and economic development.
